Hey there! The Snowmads Truck will tour through Europe this season, chasing the snow for about 9 weeks. We’ll start rolling end of December and finish in beginning of March. We want to give a young, motivated and creative filmer who wants to set foot in ski movie productions a chance to…
Why analog? Taking pictures on expensive films, waiting patiently to have them developed just to get it scanned and look through them on the laptop after all doesn’t seem to be that practical at first. I guess I’m just fed up by all this digital craziness in our modern world and wanted to try…
I always knew that I wanted to build my own home on wheels but I had to wait for the perfect moment. Seeing Moggä’s van accelerated this project a lot. About one year later when I decided to drop out of the Freeride World Tour I asked Moggä if he wants to help me build the perfect ski expedition car and it didn’t take me long to hear a „Yeah man, lets do this!“
Since I haven’t been really active lately on my blog I thought I should start sharing a bit more….a bit more of my experiences and thoughts. It really moved me that I received that much response on my last article and it made me realize that people do appreciate what we have to say.
I was out and about in Klösterle with my friend and Team-mate, Nadine Wallner, sharing our skills in the backcountry with super motivated and talented youngsters
This is my 10th season(including southern hemisphere) competing in freeride competitions although I’m just 21 years old. 4 out of those seasons I competed in FWQ Events. Since I’m 15 years old my main goal was to compete in the FWT. I had a really though time until I finally made it happen with my victory in Obergurgl last season. Finally I would be able to compete with the best freeriders in the world on the sickest faces and
This is just unbelievable! It’s been such a long way for me to get into the Freeride World Tour. Up to now I never wanted to focus on just one thing and tried to combine filming with competitions as good as possible. But of course it never works 100% and I often missed important competitions that would have given me a better chance to qualify. In case you want to know why…
After skiing the glaciers near Bishkek and the north face of Pik Lenin we had to choose a new destination. Khan Tengri wasn’t really on our list for this trip but we always had it in mind as an option. Mainly because there are several small valleys next to the basecamp which looked pretty promising for freeriding, at least on the pictures we’ve found.
We have finally used our skis on this trip and climbed Mt Ararat in Turkey and Mt Damavand in Iran. The snow conditions were surprisingly good and the weather was really kind to us. Check out the big blog update about those two volcanoes and our travels in general. We will reach Kyrgyzstan in a few days from now.
I’m on a pretty big mission at the moment. Some friends and I are driving our campervan from Innsbruck all the way to Kyrgyzstan and maybe even further to China and Pakistan. I have always been really interested in that area of Asia but never got the chance to go there.
